John Sharp and his wives' - Elizabeth Hill and Jenetta McClanahan Sharp Cummins

Willow Baptist Church Cemetery, Bracken County, Kentucky

John Sharp is the son of Elias Sharp and Sallie, maiden name unknown.  John died December 25, 1846, though in a court case over slaves that became his possessions at the death of his first wife,  Elizabeth Hill,  his second wife, Jenetta McClanahan , stated he died December 26.

John and Elizabeth were the parents of two children: Owen T. and Mary Jane.  John and Jenetta had seven children: Burgin, John Riley, Lucy, Eli, Matilda, Telitha, and Amanda.

John's stone was leaning against a rock wall in the cemetery when I found it, but when I went back a year or two later it had disappeared.  Jenetta is buried with her second husband, John Cummins, in the New Zion Baptist Cemetery, Pendleton County, Kentucky.
